Privacy Policy for SensorLab

Effective date: April 29, 2026

Summary: SensorLab is designed to display sensor readings locally on your device. The app does not create accounts, does not show ads, does not use analytics SDKs, and does not sell personal information. Sensor readings are processed on the device and are not sent to us or to third parties.

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how the Android application SensorLab (“the App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) handles user and device data. SensorLab is an educational and utility app that displays readings from sensors available on your Android device.

2. Data the App accesses

SensorLab may access sensor readings provided by your device, depending on which sensors are available on your device and which screen you open in the App. These may include:

The App may request Android permissions related to Activity Recognition and High Sampling Rate Sensors when required by the Android version and device configuration. These permissions are used only to display sensor readings inside the App.

3. Data we collect

We do not collect, store, upload, share, or sell personal data or sensor readings from the App. Sensor data is processed locally on your device for the purpose of displaying real-time values in the user interface.

4. How we use data

Sensor readings are used only to provide the App’s core functionality: showing the values of available sensors on your device. The App does not use sensor readings for advertising, profiling, tracking, analytics, or automated decision-making.

5. Data sharing

We do not share your personal data or sensor readings with third parties. The App does not include advertising networks, analytics services, social media SDKs, cloud databases, or remote servers for collecting App data.

6. Data retention

SensorLab does not retain sensor readings after they are displayed. Sensor readings are temporary and exist only while the App is running and the relevant sensor screen is active.

7. Internet and network communication

The App is designed to work locally on your device. It does not require an account and does not transmit sensor readings to external servers.

8. Children’s privacy

SensorLab is not specifically directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can address the issue.

9. Security

Because SensorLab does not collect or transmit personal data, the main privacy protection is local-only processing. You can also control App permissions at any time through your Android device settings.

10. Your choices and controls

You can grant or deny permissions requested by the App. You can also revoke permissions later in your Android settings. Some sensor features may be unavailable or limited if permissions are denied or if your device does not include the required sensor.

11. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy if the App changes, for example if new features, permissions, or third-party services are added. When we update the policy, we will revise the effective date above.
